EGT sensor for tuning

If you ever wondered how to find a right jet for your 2 stroke without chopping plugs, endless test runs etc etc then this is it.
EGT sensor, its mostly used on karts, snowmobiles, dirtbikes and tuned cars but hardly ever used on 2t scooter tuning, why?
I would think that constantly fixing seized engines sure costs more than 25$ on EGT probe & gauge.
Its great for tuning but will also warn you when you have developed some air leak that will seize the engine.

Also, some wonder why not O2 sensor?Well they dont work that good on 2 strokes, the oil ruins the probe.

Just drill a hole in the exhaust, about 4″(10cm) away from the cylinder, weld a piece of small pipe on the hole, then thread the pipe so EGT will screw in and then place the gauge somewhere.
EGT should be aimed at 600ºC(1112.0ºF) , anything over 650ºC(1202.0ºF) will get you a new piston.
