So this is what might happen if you have high compression and ride a bit lean.On half throttle there was always some wierd rattle (detonation)i only got 500 km’s on this BBK.
As we can see the piston pin has made its way out, a strong groove about 1mm is on the cylinder wall at that side, amazingly it still had 8 bar compression and was running fine at higher revs.After installing a new BBK i got the same rattling detonation sound, but raising the needle clip 1 notch solved it.
